The Today Show: Dr. Laurie Davis and Special Guests, Veterans and Singers, Dan Wesley White and Jill Younghusband - Episode 6

Welcome to fun Friday! Today Dr. Laurie Davis is interviewing accomplished singers and veterans, Dan Wesley White and Jill Younghusband. Jay Stoyan pops in for a few minutes too! We have a couple of 30 sec clips of two of Dan's songs! Both Dan and Jill are dedicated to improving the lives of veterans.

Dan Wesley White is a new singer-songwriter from Del Rio, TX. He is a US Army veteran and was a member of the Army Band. After leaving the military, he returned to school to get a teaching degree and now teaches music in South Texas.

He has several songs on Spotify and Apple music, which showcase his writing and singing skills. He blends country with Tex-Mex, Texas Swing, and rock influences. He is an advocate for veteran suicide awareness and wrote the song "22" to make the subject more mainstream to help vets and their families. You can find his music at https://danwesleywhite.com/

Jill is classically trained at the Grant MacEwan University Music Diploma Program. Jill recorded her first full length CD entitled "Wings of Peace – A Tribute to the Canadian Soldier", and over the years has collaborated on a variety of commemorative musical recordings and performances.

Both are talking about the difficulties that veterans face when returning to civilian life.
